BIOGRAPHY
Jim Brannigan is a pompous, self-made super hero who has become a household name in Golden Bay City thanks to the efforts of his W.H.O. agent, Wilhelm Agnew.

Brannigan is cocky to the extreme. He is very attractive under his mask and he knows this. He can frequently be seen flirting with pretty young women who swoon over his every word.

Brannigan attended college at the University of Golden Bay City where he was the star quarterback as well as the chapter president for his fraternity. One day while hiking, he came across what appeared to be a U.F.O. that had recently crashed. Since there were no alien beings present, Jim investigated the ship and stumbled upon the power-pack that he would later use to become Zap-Man.

Upon graduation he began his career as a freelance hero for hire. One could often catch his loud, obnoxious T.V. commercials in which he bragged that he alone could protect the city. Because of his larger-than-life attitude, Brannigan caught the attention of top W.H.O. representatives and he was offered a high profile position.

During his early career, Zap-Man was involved in many high-profile conflicts with the city’s rogues gallery and quickly became a very popular celebrity, especially with his adoring female fans. A favorite among the city’s paparazzi, Brannigan never failed to please his adoring public and could frequently be seen dining at the most trendy restaurants with actresses, models or whomever else caught his eye at the time.

Due to the marketing genius of Mr. Agnew, Zap-Man’s exposure and popularity continues to sky-rocket and Zap-Man merchandise still floods the market.

His quick rise to the top only inflated his already over-stuffed ego. He considers himself W.H.O.’s top hero and never misses an opportunity to remind others of this. While he is a very capable hero in his own right, his attitude and smarmy sense of humor makes it difficult for other heroes to tolerate being around him.
