Strato
Real Name:
Heinrich Stratofaust
Age:
47

ABILITIES
Strato has no super-powers of his own. Instead he relies on his retro-style blasto-gun to bring chaos to anyone who gets in his way. This gun has multiple settings from stun to incinerate and can even cast a paralyzing electro-immobilizing ray used to ensnare victims.

BIOGRAPHY
A fan of sci-fi and horror movies from the 1950’s, Strato is a villain from Captain Cosmos’ rogues gallery. Once a brilliant physicist, a severe blow to the head while watching “Invasion from Planet Nine” at a drive-in caused him to suffer delusions of world domination. The head trauma rendered him nearly insane. However, he still retained his memories as a physicist, which allowed him to build many fantastic, retro-styled devices that plagued Captain Cosmos and other heroes for years.

His ideas proved larger than his abilities for he could never find or create power sources sufficient for his outrageous inventions. His gadgets always had the unfortunate trait of losing power during several of his rampages causing him many embarrassing defeats.

After one such defeat by Captain Cosmos and Kid Comet, Strato vanished. Years later he suddenly returned with his most ambitious project ever, a completely automated, floating “City of Doom”. Strato’s plan was to enslave the citizens of Golden Bay City and then unleash his “Ray of Doom” to destroy it.

This time, he solved his energy problem by building a power siphon tube in which he placed the captured heroes Blue Comet and Sunstar. Strato was about to execute his plan when nature called and he idiotically left his prisoners unguarded while he relieved himself.

Unbeknownst to the villain, Sunstar’s younger brother Justin had stowed away on Strato’s transport plane and was hiding in the ventilation ducts. While Strato was in the “little super-villain’s room”, Justin released the heroes from the tube. Returning to find his “batteries” missing, Strato tracked them down to the main deck. After a brief skirmish, the bumbling villain was rendered unconscious by Sunstar.

Finally defeated and his precious “City of Doom” in custody, Strato waits in prison, planning for the day that he shall one day rule the world!
