Justin Summers
Age: 23

BIOGRAPHY
Justin Summers is the son of Adam and Margret Summers who are the retired super heroes Atom Bomb and Magma Girl, and is the younger brother of Jillian Summers, a.k.a. Sunstar.
Justin is youthful at heart and has an active imagination with a deep affection for video games, comic books and action figures. Growing up he greatly admired super heroes and daydreamed he would one day develop powers like his family. At the time this was not the case and he often felt saddened that he had no special powers.

Justin and his sister Jillian have always had a very close relationship. When she manifested her powers while they were in high school, Justin helped her keep it secret from their classmates. Using his artistic talent, he designed her Sunstar costume. When he realized he was gay, Jillian was the first person he came out to. Together the pair kept each other’s secrets and formed an unbreakable bond.

Being gay, Justin felt he had finally discovered something that made him special. However, as most gay teens, he was afraid to tell his parents. With Jillian’s assistance, Justin came out to them and was surprised at their instant acceptance. They encouraged him to consider being gay his own “super power” which allowed him to embrace his sexual orientation.

All throughout high school and college Justin led an open life, never hiding his orientation from those around him. However, it was difficult for him to find a steady boyfriend who didn’t view his interests in comic books and super heroes as childish. Still single upon college graduation, he moved into the city and landed a graphic design job at an ad agency. However, the job didn’t offer the excitement that his super hero daydreams provided.

Later, after several unsuccessful tries at love, Justin met Diego Fuentes. Tired of being rejected by guys, he impulsively moved in with him and thought he had at last found a meaningful relationship. However, it soon became apparent that the two couldn’t connect. Justin tried sharing his interests by taking Diego shopping for comics and toys. Uninterested, Diego complained that Justin’s hobbies just weren’t “gay enough” and insisted they go clubbing every weekend instead. Justin tried but six rocky months later, he found himself dumped and in need of a new place to live.

Fate intervened and shortly after, Justin met Blue Comet. It wasn’t long before the hero revealed his true identity as Derek Maxwell and asked Justin out on a date. With Derek, Justin felt a connection that he had never experienced before, their relationship bloomed and they quickly fell in love.
